Version 2026-08-28.1.
90 days is the standard window. A property may offer longer, and the page you booked on always shows the window that applies to your stay — that is the one that counts.
You may cancel for a full refund at any time up to 90 days before check-in. Cancel in that window and you get everything you paid back, to the card you paid with, normally within 5–10 business days.
Inside 90 days of check-in the booking is non-refundable, unless you added Protect your stay when you booked. Your dates are held for you and the property has turned other guests away for them, which is why the deadline is a real one.
Protect your stay is an optional add-on you choose when you book. If you have it, you can cancel at any time — including inside the 90 days — and get the price of your stay back.
The fee itself is not refunded. It is the price of being able to change your mind, and it has done its job whether or not you use it.
It is not insurance and Bookend is not an insurer. It is a cancellation right you buy from Bookend directly, and it covers exactly what this section says — nothing about the stay itself, your travel, or anything that happens once you arrive.
Ask us. Changes inside the 90-day window depend on the property having the new dates free, and on what those dates cost — we will tell you the difference before anything is charged or moved. We would always rather move you than have you lose the booking.
If the property cannot honour your booking for any reason, you get a full refund, and Bookend will offer you comparable or better accommodation for the same dates at no extra cost to you. That is an obligation Bookend places on every property in the programme, not a goodwill gesture.
Contact us first at support@bookendpartners.com. A card dispute cannot be reversed once it is opened, and a booking under dispute is released for resale — so a dispute over something we would simply have refunded can cost you the stay as well as the time.
