Integrations

The software Bookend connects to today: the property management systems that put a manager’s places on an event’s stay page, the hotel inventory behind every venue, the payout rail, and the widget that puts all of it on a checkout. Only connections that are live are listed here.

Hostaway

Paste your Hostaway account ID and an API key and Bookend reads your listings — names, photos, bedrooms, location — then checks availability and asks Hostaway for a real quote before any of your places goes on an event’s stay page. Guests pay the price Hostaway returns, so there is no second rate sheet to keep in step. A confirmed booking is written back into Hostaway as a paid reservation, so your calendar blocks itself.

How to connect: Hostaway dashboard → Settings → Hostaway API → Create, partner “Hostaway Public API”. Then /portal/listings → Connect your software.

Guesty

Guesty connects through its Open API with a client ID and secret from an OAuth application you create in your own Guesty account. Bookend pulls the listing, its photos and address, checks the calendar for the exact event dates, and quotes from Guesty’s own pricing. Bookings land in Guesty as reservations, and nothing is sold that Guesty says is blocked.

How to connect: Guesty → Integrations → OAuth applications → New application. Paste the ID and secret at /portal/listings.

Lodgify

One public API key from Lodgify is enough. Bookend lists your properties, reads availability and quotes each stay from Lodgify, then creates the booking in Lodgify when a guest pays — so a Bookend booking looks the same in your dashboard as one from any other channel.

How to connect: Lodgify → Settings → Public API → copy the key, then /portal/listings → Connect your software.

OwnerRez

OwnerRez connects today with your login email and a personal access token created in your own account. Bookend reads listings, availability and quotes from OwnerRez and writes confirmed bookings back as guests and bookings. Bookend’s app connection for OwnerRez is with OwnerRez for approval; until it is approved, your photos come from your public listing link rather than the API.

How to connect: OwnerRez → Settings → Advanced Tools → Developer/API Settings → create a token with write access. Paste it at /portal/listings.

LiteAPI hotel inventory

Hotels around an event venue come onto its stay page through LiteAPI, with live rates and availability for the event dates. A hotel does not need to do anything to appear — if it is on LiteAPI and within range of the venue, it is offered. Hotels that want their own direct rate on a page, or a rate the hotel sets itself, can tell us and we list it directly.

How to connect: Nothing to connect for a hotel already on LiteAPI. Direct hotel listings start at /start.

Stripe Connect payouts

Guests pay Stripe, never you and never us. Each event partner connects a Stripe Express account from the portal, and their share of every booking is transferred to it by Stripe after the guest checks out. Property managers connect Stripe the same way and are paid after the guest’s stay. There is no invoice, no setup fee and nothing to reconcile — Stripe’s own dashboard is the statement.

How to connect: /portal/payments → Connect with Stripe. Stripe’s onboarding takes a few minutes.

Embeddable checkout widget

One script tag on your order-confirmation or registration-complete page puts real places to stay in front of the person who has just bought a ticket. It renders in a sandboxed frame, sizes itself, never touches your page’s styles, and updates itself as inventory changes. Prefer your own markup? The same inventory is a keyless JSON call. The embed code is open on GitHub.

How to connect: The snippet and the JSON endpoint are on /docs. Your slug arrives with your welcome email after /start.

Bookend Partners for iOS

The Bookend Partners app on the App Store is the portal in your pocket: your pipeline, your listings, your business details and the status of your widget, from the same login as the website.

How to connect: Bookend Partners on the App Store. Sign in with your portal account.

Not on this list?

If your system is not here, the portal also takes a calendar link or a listing link and we place your units by hand. Tell us what you run and we will say plainly whether we can connect to it.

Common questions

Which property management systems does Bookend connect to?

Hostaway, Guesty and Lodgify connect self-serve from the portal with an API key or OAuth credentials from your own account. OwnerRez connects with a personal access token while Bookend's OwnerRez app connection is with OwnerRez for approval. Once connected, your places appear on the stay pages of events within range within about 30 minutes, priced by your own system.

Do I have to type my rates into Bookend?

No. Every stay is quoted live from your property management system for the exact event dates, so the price a guest pays is the price your system returns. There is no second rate sheet to maintain.

What happens to a booking made through Bookend?

It is written back into your property management system as a reservation, so your calendar blocks itself and the booking shows in your dashboard alongside every other channel. Guests pay through Stripe and you are paid out by Stripe after checkout.

How do hotels get onto an event's stay page?

Hotels near a venue are offered through LiteAPI with live rates and availability, so a hotel already on LiteAPI appears without doing anything. A hotel that wants its own direct rate on a page can list directly through /start.

How does an event organiser add stays to their checkout?

With one script tag on the confirmation page, documented at /docs, or by rendering the same inventory from a keyless JSON endpoint. Payouts to the organiser go through Stripe Connect, connected from the portal.

Connect your software

Property managers connect from the portal. Event partners start with their venue and we build the page. Either way it is free, and there is nothing to run.
